Snowboarding and San Diego

This is a quick one for those of you who actually read this, and so that when I get old and senile I will be able to remember what they hell I did in 2009.

Winter has come to Portland, but very halfheartedly. This is the first year that I splurged for a season pass on Mt. Hood and after two back-to-back weekends at the end of November the snow melted and the rain washed away most of the base. I couldn't snowboard at Ski Bowl at all in December and most of January, but last weekend Cody, Tommy and I got up there and enjoyed a great day on the mountain. The snow fell all day and kept everything nice and powdery.

The week before Christmas was downtime for me, so I took Tommy and Cody on a road trip down to San Diego. We stayed with my dad at his retirement home on Mission Beach and spent a day surfing, a night exploring downtown SD and then a day at Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was a quick trip, but loads of fun.

As for the house, I am getting ready to put it on the market. I don't really have much of a plan for the future. I'm excited to see what is in store for 2010.
