Not crazy, not crazy, not crazy...

This morning I woke up suddenly at 4:45AM. I heard a very deep, low rumbling and I felt my bed shaking for about half a second. I immediately knew that I had just felt an earthquake! Very cool! I could have easily slept through it. I now heard some neighborhood dogs barking from about a block away. Obviously it woke them up, too.

I texted Wes and he was awake (18-month-old daddy) and said that he hadn't felt anything at all. What?? It was monumental, he must have just not noticed it over in Vancouver. I stayed up for the next hour cruising the net with NW Cable News on the TV. Wouldn't they be reporting an earthquake by now?

Well, I just woke up for the second time this morning and still no news of an earthquake. Did I dream it?

I called my neighbor Jennye and asked her if she had heard anything... but at that exact same second I noticed that today was garbage day. If the garbage truck had driven by then it might have made a low rumble and shaken the house. Mystery solved!

Or not. With Jenny on the phone I am explaining my new theory... but then from around the corner comes the garbage truck. It hadn't even come yet! Jennye then tells me that she awoke at exactly 4:45AM also... but didn't know why. Hmmm.....
