The photos are Anna's... I didn't take my camera and Picasa ate T&S's pics.
The first night we found a sweet little club in the Hotel Zone that included an open bar once you paid the $10 cover. Yes please! Old-skool music pounded while a devil-faced dancer bounced from table to table.

After a day of recovery we headed east to Isla Mujeres where some scuba diving was in order. It was the first time for most of us, so we took a few minutes of instruction, strapped on our gear and headed forty feet under water. The highlight of the trip was finding a seven-foot Nurse Shark sleeping under a ledge. Troy touched it's tail and it zipped off in a cloud of sand.

The next day we grabbed a bus to Xel-Ha, a natural aquarium that doubles as a water park. We snorkelled through schools of fish so thick you couldn't see through them! Very freaky! Troy and I found a great cliff that we flipped from for about an hour.

Then we headed over to Tulum, an ancient Mayan ruin. The temp had gotten up in the high 90's at this point, combined with VERY high humidity. We couldn't stick with the tour so we headed over the nearby beach and tried to cool off in the ninety degree water, but even that was hard!

The rest of the time was spent relaxing on the Cancun beach or playing around on Isla Mujeres. The last night we booked a room on the Island and rented a couple of scooters to explore. Troy and I hit Punte Sur (the eastern-most point of the Island and also the eastern-most point in all of Mexico) and scaled some cliffs in an attempt to snorkel in some crashing waves. We made it down but realized the water was so cloudy we had no visibility!
Well, I'm back and exhausted... time to get some sleep!
